Peltion

A free ark led by various corporations. Peltion originally belonged to the Terrascion Ark Federation. However, repeated dangerous research and experimentation attempts by Peltion's corporations led to conflict with the Federation's leadership. During the merger process between the Empire and Terrascion, Peltion declared its withdrawal. Since then, Peltion has docked in the Outer Dust system and now operates as a free ark. A handful of "Mega-Corporations" control everything here, forming an extreme profit-driven society where anything is permitted if one can pay. Wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few, leaving the poor unable to maintain a normal life. Corporations compete fiercely for profit, even resorting to armed conflict using private forces. In this brutal competition, inhumane human experimentation is openly encouraged, and technological advancement has reached the point where AI is commonplace. Its key ark is Peltion.
