Life Core

A device that forcibly returns the wearer to the mother ship during an operation if they suffer severe mental or physical trauma. It can also temporarily restore damaged body tissue. While it may be worthy of being called a second life, it is still far from complete. During use, the wearer is defenseless against high concentrations of Chaos energy, which can result in memory loss or permanent physical damage. The device is carried on the uniform and provides a means of extraction when the team cannot use a Waypoint. The SS Nightmare must be able to receive its signal: damage to a Life Core can prevent the ship from recalling its wearer. A working Life Core can be transferred to someone whose own device has failed.
