Zero

A system developed by Empire scientists during the "Chaos Zero Project." While working on the project, scientists witnessed numerous sacrifices made for the sake of exploring Chaos. This discovery led some researchers to begin developing a device capable of analyzing Chaos using Chaos exploration records. After much trial and error, the device was finally deployed in the field as the system Zero aboard the SS Nightmare. Elaine, one of the lead scientists involved in the development of Zero, is aboard the SS Nightmare. Zero generates the virtual Chaos environment known as the Zero System. The unusual simulation results collected in Archive are another aspect of this research: Elaine treats them as possible forms of Chaos that may exist beyond the expeditions already recorded.
